The Breitling DC-3 started its US Tour of its journey around the world at Boeing Field on a slightly overcast day in Seattle, 6 of our Breitling enthusiasts had the opportunity of a life time to spend some time learning about this incredible 1940 twin-engine propeller-driven Douglas DC-3 as well as take a flight around the Seattle area. After the Balkans, The Breitling DC-3 headed for the Middle East and India, followed by South East Asia, china and Japan. It then crossed the ocean to begin a grand tour of the United States starting in Alaska and then here in Seattle. The DC-3 will make several stops in the US prior to returning to Europe via Greeland and Iceland and completing its journey in September at the Breitling Sion Airshow 2017 in Switzerland. At 77 years old, the Breitling DC-3 is the oldest airplane to undertake a round the world tour and this new claim to fame will be one more to add to the already long list of its achievements. We are proud to be an official dealer of Breitling watches as well as share in Breitling’s objective to once again share its passion for aeronautics with a vast audience around the globe.
